Rotary Foundation

The Rotary Club of Killeen Heights proudly supports and contributes to the transformative work of The Rotary Foundation, a non-profit corporation with a mission to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace. Established in 1917 by Rotary International's sixth president, Arch C. Klumph, the Foundation operates as an endowment fund dedicated to doing good in the world. Powered by voluntary contributions from Rotarians and friends who share the vision of a better world, the Foundation plays a pivotal role in turning these gifts into projects that have a profound impact on lives globally.

Through its Humanitarian Programs, The Rotary Foundation funds international Rotary club and district projects, addressing critical needs such as healthcare, clean water, food, and education in the developing world. Notably, the Foundation spearheads the PolioPlus initiative, a monumental effort to eradicate the poliovirus worldwide. Additionally, the Foundation's Educational Programs provide crucial funding for approximately 1,200 students to study abroad annually, fostering cross-cultural understanding and knowledge exchange. Former program participants have the opportunity to maintain their connection with Rotary as Foundation Alumni, creating a ripple effect of positive change that extends far beyond the initial contributions. Join us in supporting The Rotary Foundation as we collectively strive to create a better and more compassionate world.
