Each fall, the Arizona STEM Adventure™ brings together 1,000 inquisitive 4th through 8th-grade students from across the state, embarking on an exciting one-day journey into the captivating realms of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). This collaborative event is made possible through the collective efforts of esteemed partners, including Pima Community College, IBM, Raytheon Technologies, The University of Arizona Office of Early Academic Outreach, Waters Center for Systems Thinking, Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA), and SARSEF. At this adventure-packed occasion, STEM professionals from the community generously share their expertise, igniting the imagination of young minds and inspiring them to embark on their own science or engineering projects. In addition to the student-focused activities, the Arizona STEM Adventure™ offers Professional Development, equipping 50 teachers with invaluable best practices to guide their students in the process of exploring questions through science and engineering. Each teacher also receives $100 in materials, fostering a supportive environment for nurturing the next generation of STEM enthusiasts and innovators.
