Announcing a new addition to the Western Folklife Centers Contemporary Gear Collection!

During the 36th National Cowboy Poetry Gathering, we unveiled the newest addition to the Western Folklife Centers Contemporary Gear Collection, a carved saddle designed and in progress by master artisan Jeremiah Watt. Established in 1992 with the support and leadership of artist William Matthews, the Contemporary Gear Fund and Collection was designed to bring recognition to the renaissance of contemporary handcrafted gear making around the American West. The collection has grown incrementally over the years through the generous donations of gear and funds.
