Early Learning

The first years are important to your childs life. We will work with you to create a solid foundation that helps build the well-being of your child.

We are currently enrolling new families in our Early Head Start (EHS), Head Start (HS), Parents as Teachers, ParentChild+, and ECEAP early learning programs in four communities around the state, serving children ages 0-5 (varies by program). We offer center-based and home-visiting options in North and South King communities, as well as Spokane and Walla Walla.

Center-based, high-quality child care programs in King County, Walla Walla, and Spokane:

  • Personalized learning plans
  • In-class and virtual education
  • Virtual family events
  • Access to family resources
  • Serving children ages 0-5 (varies by center)

Home-visiting, high-quality child care programs in King County, Walla Walla, and Spokane:

Due to COVID-19, our Early Head Start home visiting program is currently virtual.

The program is for families with children (from birth to 3 years of age), pregnant women, and expectant fathers looking for quality child development information and support. Our Early Head Start program provides:

  • Important information on early childhood education, including developmental screenings
  • Weekly virtual home visits with a child development specialist
  • Virtual group activities for children and parents
  • Parent education and family services
  • Health, mental health, and nutrition education and support
