Most harvested bulls are in the 5 to 6 point range. The diverse terrain includes dark timber, aspens, rolling sage hills, dense oak brush, and more, providing a rich hunting backdrop. Hunts are primarily conducted using spot and stalk techniques from trucks and Polaris Rangers. For those interested in filling their freezers, reduced-rate cow elk hunts are also available, including specific hunts for youth. Elk tags are readily obtainable, with options for over-the-counter purchases and draw tags requiring no preference points.
